Deep Tissue

Are you suffering from painful muscle aches? A deep, therapeutic massage can help the body release toxins, alleviate pain, and assist in increased mobility of a constricted musculature.  Specific point work in problem areas will assist your body to release tension and reduce pain. A deep tissue massage will help to loosen muscles, eliminate trigger points, increase circulation, restore range of motion, address compensations, loosen scar tissue,  relieve pain from injuries,  and helps speed recovery from soft tissue injuries.

Relaxation Massage

Are you suffering from neck tension, headaches, stress, or insomnia? An energy balancing flowing massage, will help the body relax, regain balance, and restore inner peace.  A relaxation massage will help to reduce anxiety and depression, improve circulation, heighten mental alertness, reduce muscle tension, improve skin tone, and reduces stress hormones.  All these amazing benefits!  Have you booked yet?

Pregnancy Massage

Are you feeling the aches and soreness from your pregnancy? Pregnancy massage can help provide relief to the sore muscles as your body grows new life. We use a special Pregnancy Body Cushion so that you can lie face down comfortably to enjoy a healing and rejuvenating massage with one of our experienced therapists, each of whom are Mothers. A Pregnancy massage will help you relax, relieve discomfort from your changing body, and address compensations from your body’s changes during pregnancy.

Jen practices an integrated therapeutic approach to her massage work.   A typical massage with Jen will be variable in pressure, depending on how your body is responding to touch that day. Some days, for some areas, deep may be what you need. Another moment, the body may release with a lighter touch. She will work with you to get to that optimal place to restore balance, assist in healing, and promote release for each session.

In recent years, Jen has taken advantage of several incredible training opportunities with Brian Utting, one of the top massage teachers in the country, with Pacific Northwest School of Massage. Coursework in Deep Tissue Massage of the Shoulders, Neck, Back, Legs, and Lumbar Ligaments have honed her skills for precise and effective deep work to help facilitate muscle release and help eliminate pain.  She also has training in Positional Release Technique, Reiki, Craniosacral Therapy, Balinese, Thai, and Hot Stone/Geothermal Massage.

Jen earned a BA in Environmental Studies from Rollins College (1996) and is a graduate The Good Medicine School of Massage in Whitefish, Montana (2008), maintains Massage Therapy License with the State of Montana, National Certification by the Board of Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork, and also is a Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance.  She completed 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training locally with Shanti Yoga Studio in 2017 and is available to assist clients with Yoga to help them care for their bodies and address their areas of concern.  She has serviced a wide array of clients during her tenure, with the goal to assist each person to optimize their health and well being. Jen also strives to take exceptional care of herself through massage, yoga, acupuncture, exercise in the beautiful mountain landscape, whole food nutrition, and willingly offers insights and referrals to other therapies that can further assist her clients on their healing journey.  Jen is the owner of Whitefish Massage Therapy.
